不知【皇上無話兒】(The
King's Speech) 在香港何時上畫。等待之際，不如先讀讀電影中，喬治六世向國民朗讀的正義宣言：
In this grave (嚴峻) hour, perhaps the most fateful (決定命運的) in our
history, I send to every household of my peoples, both at home and overseas,
this message, spoken with the same depth of feeling for each one of you as if I
were able to cross your threshold (門檻) and speak to you myself. For the second time
in the lives of most of us, we are at war. Over and over again, we have tried
to find a peaceful way out of the differences between ourselves and those who
are now our enemies; but it has been in vain (徒勞無功). We have been
forced into a conflict (衝突), for we are called to meet the challenge of a
principle which, if it were to prevail (獲接納), would be
fatal to any civilized order in the world. Such a principle, stripped of all disguise
(偽裝),
is surely the mere primitive doctrine that might (強權) is right. For the sake of all that we
ourselves hold dear, it is unthinkable that we should refuse to meet the
challenge. It is to this high purpose that I now call my people at home and my
peoples across the seas who will make our cause their own. I ask them to stand
calm and firm and united in this time of trial. The task will be hard. There
may be dark days ahead and war can no longer be confined to (限於) the battlefield, but we can only do the
right as we see the right, and reverently (虔誠地) commit our
cause to god. If one and all we keep resolutely (堅決地) faithful to
it, then with god's help, we shall prevail (戰勝).

膽大妄為的翻譯，不知各位覺得如何：
在這決定吾國往後國運的嚴峻一刻，本王透過電台廣播，以平等的心情，挨家挨戶，向本地與海外子民宣佈，吾國再次陷入戰爭。一次又一次，吾國政府嘗試以和平的方法，化解與敵人之間的矛盾，但卻是徒勞無功。吾國被迫接受一種能摧毀文明秩序的原則，因而引發今次衝突。這種原則，在撕去所有偽裝後，不過是「強權有理」此一野蠻教條。為了子民所珍視的事物，吾國不得不接受敵人的挑戰。為此，本王呼籲本地與海外的子民，團結一致，以平和堅定的心情，面對敵人的進迫。任務維艱，前路茫茫，戰爭也不只發生在戰場上，但本王與子民可以虔誠地將任務的目的托負上帝，做眼前應該做的事。只要全國上下堅定不移，上帝定必眷顧，讓吾國旗開得勝。
