朋友打算跟學生做專題研習，預備了一份工作紙，其中一行這樣寫道──

Think of what to include on your menu and fill
in the menu below.

第一次看時，並沒覺有甚麼不妥，但後來再看，卻感到有點不對勁──為甚麼前面是
on the menu，而後面則是 in the menu 呢？

答案很快揭盅──雖然外國人一般說 on the menu，但後半句的 in，是配動詞 fill 的，所以並沒錯。

不過另一個問題來了──為甚麼前半句的前置詞，不可以配動詞 include 呢？

請教外籍同事，連他也頗感猶豫。後來他上網搜尋，得出的結論是，可以寫
include in the menu，但那個 menu 一般指電腦的選單，而非餐廳的菜單。

有問：「將 fill in the menu 改為 fill in the template，不就沒問題了嗎？」

「這是給小學生的工作紙，template 這個字太難了。」朋友回道。
